Getting started

What services does Visual HiFi provide?

We supply, install and support CCTV, data networks, structured cabling, TV wall mounting, digital antennas and reception systems. We also provide commercial AV and home theatre installation.

Which areas do you service?

We service the Gold Coast and Hinterland, including Helensvale, Coomera, Southport, Robina, Burleigh, Tamborine Mountain and the Beenleigh area. The About Us page lists our service areas. Contact us with your suburb to confirm arrangements.

Do you work with homes and businesses?

Yes. We work on residential and commercial properties, from individual outlets and TV installations to multi-camera CCTV and connected business spaces.

Can you assess equipment I already own?

Yes. We check the equipment and existing connections before recommending what to retain or upgrade. Include model numbers and a description of the current setup when you enquire.

How do I request a quote?

Use Hire Now to prepare an enquiry with your contact details, suburb, service and a description of the work. You can also call 1300 28 4434 or 0419 727 078, or email info@visualhifi.com.au.

What should I include in my enquiry?

Please include your suburb, property type, the work needed and any existing equipment. TV model numbers, the number of camera positions or outlets, and notes about access help us understand the job. You can attach photos when you send your email.

Can you install equipment you supply?

Yes. We provide supply and installation for the systems we sell, with equipment recommendations suited to the property and the agreed scope.

Do you provide support after installation?

Yes. We demonstrate the installed system and provide ongoing technical support. Warranty and support arrangements are discussed with the equipment and installation included in your quote.

CCTV & Security Camera Installation

How much does CCTV installation cost on the Gold Coast?

The quote depends on the number and type of cameras, cable access, recording capacity and any existing equipment we can reuse. Share your suburb, property type and the areas you want to cover so we can advise on the next step.

Can I view my security cameras on my phone?

Compatible systems support remote viewing on Android and iOS. An internet connection is required for remote access. Available notifications, snapshots and playback features depend on the selected cameras, recorder and app.

Can CCTV keep recording without internet?

A correctly configured local recorder can generally continue recording while internet access is unavailable, provided the cameras, recorder and local network still have power. Remote viewing and notifications may be interrupted. We explain how your selected system behaves.

Data Networks, Management & WiFi

Can you improve WiFi in a home office?

We can assess the layout, existing network and available cable paths. A better access point location or a wired connection may help. The recommendation depends on the building and the cause of the problem.

Does a new router fix every slow connection?

No. Coverage, cabling, device limitations, network use and the internet service can each affect performance. We help identify the likely cause before recommending new equipment.

What does data management mean in your service?

It means planning and organising network connections, cabinets, switches, patch panels and connected equipment. This service focuses on network infrastructure rather than database administration or cloud data storage.

Data & Structured Cabling

Can you add an Ethernet point in an existing home?

Often, yes. We first consider roof or underfloor access, wall construction and the route back to your network equipment. These details determine what can be concealed and the work involved.

Can I use existing cabling for new cameras or access points?

It may be suitable, but the cable type, condition, route and equipment requirements need to be checked. We assess existing connections before recommending replacement.

What affects the cost of data cabling?

The number of outlets, length and difficulty of cable runs, access, terminations and any cabinet work affect the quote. Photos of the rooms and current equipment help us understand the job.

TV Installation & Wall Mounting

Can you mount a TV I already own?

Yes. Please provide the TV model, screen size, a photo of the wall and details of any existing bracket. We can then assess the installation requirements.

Can all the TV cables be hidden?

That depends on the wall, access and outlet positions. We check the available route and explain concealment options. Where an internal route is not practical, we can discuss a tidy alternative.

Do you install soundbars as well?

Yes. We can include a compatible soundbar mount and connect the soundbar as part of the TV setup. Share the model and how you would like it positioned when requesting a quote.

Digital TV Antenna Installation

Do I need a new antenna if my picture breaks up?

Not necessarily. The fault may be in the amplifier, cabling, connectors, splitters or wall outlet. Signal testing helps establish whether repair, realignment or replacement is appropriate.

Can you help with difficult reception in the Hinterland?

Yes. We assess the signal and possible mounting positions at the property. Terrain and the surrounding environment can affect the options, so recommendations are based on the site rather than a standard package.

Do OptiComm homes need a separate TV antenna?

A home that no longer receives network-delivered free-to-air TV may need a dedicated digital antenna. We check the existing TV cabling and available signal before recommending the installation.

TV Signal & Reception Repairs

Why does my TV say no signal?

It can indicate a problem with the selected input, connection or reception system. Check that the television is on the intended source and that accessible leads are connected. If the problem remains, we can test the signal path.

Will a signal booster fix pixelation?

Only when suitable amplification addresses the measured problem. A faulty connection, interference or an already unsuitable signal can need a different solution. We test before recommending a booster.

Can you repair a single faulty TV outlet?

Yes. We can test the outlet and the cable path feeding it, including any relevant connectors or splitters, then explain the repair needed.

Commercial AV, CCTV & Connectivity

What types of businesses do you work with?

We provide AV, CCTV and connectivity solutions for commercial properties, including offices, retail premises and venues. Share the building layout and intended use so we can discuss suitability.

Can CCTV and cabling be included in one project?

Yes. Planning these together helps identify the cable routes, network connections and recording equipment required for the camera system and other devices.

Can you reuse our existing displays or cameras?

We assess condition, compatibility and the required outcome before recommending what to retain. Existing equipment can sometimes be integrated, but it may limit features or future expansion.
